The hotel is beautiful, traditional but quite unique! Parts were being decorated during our stay, but very considerately done. The bed was my main focus, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and I couldn’t wait to get in it!Very firm as were the the pillows! Heaven! The bathroom was clean, modern and very spacious! The food in the Jacobean restaurant was sooo good and such a lovely dinner menu too! Breakfast was incredible with the most smoked salmon I’ve ever seen on a plate, perfect scrambled eggs and gorgeous fruit kebabs! I also had the 4 egg omelette one morning with choice of fillings( I never finished one meal completely as the portions are so generous). Staff are lovely here, friendly and helpful! Loads of parking, windows that open ( I stay away a lot for work and fresh air isn’t a luxury afforded everywhere!) only challenge might be the stairs if you aren’t very mobile! I’ve stayed before and I’ll definitely be back again! Thank you Ps I need to know where you got those mattresses please?

My go-to place when I head up for work. Always a fabulous welcome from the guys on reception, super friendly team here. Rooms are fab! The place smells amazing, I dont know what they use but I need to find out as it smells divine every time I've been! Food is spot on, it's superb quality and plenty, the pub is always busy, not just with hotel guests but locals too and that speaks volumes about the food and service. Bfast is the best breakfast I've had anywhere and I travel around a lot! The selection of hot and cold is fabulous. My 1st choice of stays is here. Value for money and comfort.

Really nice hotel, a bit quirky. Only negative I would state is the lack of power sockets or USB points near the bed, I found the bed/ pillow a little uncomfortable but that's entirely my personal choice. The mattress was memory foam. Some of the floors are quite uneven but this is a 400 year old building. Some of the rooms looked to have very low doors something to remember if like me you're tall. The staff were outstanding and very helpful and friendly, everything in the room worked. Plentiful parking. The pub that the hotel is attached to is very nice. The food was outstanding value for money, not cheap but very high quality for the price. I would definitely stay again but would bring my own pillow and an extension lead.

I attended this fabulous hotel for my best friends wedding and I absolutely loved staying here. We stayed in a beautiful big suite the night before and it was fabulous lots of room, clean, well decorated, very well put together and the beds were comfortable. The staff were fantastic throughout the hotel so friendly, helpful and caring so impressed with there customer service. The hotel and restaurant was beautiful. Our food was fantastic and we all enjoyed our meals immensely and had to give our thanks to the chef. The wedding was a major success and everything was perfectly catered for and decorated impeccably which made for beautiful pictures and a fantastic atmosphere. And we stayed the night of the wedding in a grand suite which was roomy, well decorated and perfect for us as it was our wedding anniversary too. Our overall experience was absolutely fabulous and we are planning to book our anniversary there for next year. Very highly recommend for a visit or to plan a memorable event here its perfect

I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in the area with work. Service was fantastic with very friendly and welcoming staff in both the hotel and the Jacobean Pub. Slight issue with heating in my room was sorted quickly. Bed was very comfortable, one of the best I've slept in when away from home. Room was well appointed and bathroom was spacious. Food in the pub restaurant was great and I can highly recommend the steak pie with proper shortcrust pastry. Plenty of parking. The only slight issue really is lugging everything up the stairs if, like me, you don't travel light! A great stay.

Really lovely gem of a place, not far off the A1 with good transport links. Stayed here for a wedding and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely with all conveniences and very warm - welcome in this cold snap! It's advertised as the hotel with personality and it certainly has that breakfast is served in the Jacobean bar - hot breakfast cooked to order and all cereals and pastries. I recommend the fruit kebabsand the smoked salmon which was delicious and a huge portion

Visited the pub for a meal and it was outstanding. Very reasonably priced for the location, we were expecting it to be more so cannot complain, especially giving the quality of the food. My wife had the salmon while I opted for the mixed grill and both were perfect. This was our first visit to the establishment and it definitely will not be the last. Highly recommended.

First time staying here only for a night. The wife absolutely loved it. The room was lovely and the setting is nice. The Jacobean pub does excellent food and the breakfast was seriously good. We will definitely be back again. Thanks Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel.
